A wander around Great Yarmouth Part Two - Mamiya 7ii

The highly anticipated second installment is here folks, I’m sorry I kept you waiting. Consider this the sequel that just doesn’t live up to the original, except Part One was kind of like Jurassic World so the follow up didn’t really have much to live up to..always happy to promote some healthy self belief.

I took the Mamiya along on our photo walk too and it’s probably the first time in a long while I’ve wished I’d had a tripod with me. F4 ‘wide open’ meant pushing my Pro 400H (casual film brag) a stop which, combined with some slack metering on my behalf, meant some of the photos were a touch underexposed and some slight colour shifts. Oh well, you live and learn. Maybe I’ll pick up some Lomo 800 for the next one when you can guarantee it’ll be blinding sunshine.. Towards the end of the afternoon I was tentatively shooting at 1/30th handheld not expecting much, but the last two were actually really sharp despite it being very dim - all hail the leaf shutter! I think the first and last images are the ones I’m most happy with, I’ll certainly be returning to Yarmouth in the near future to seek out some more ordinary goodness, possibly with a touch more sunshine.
